How do I select the right furniture for the nursery?

No, seriously, make sure you have a rocking chair (I prefer a glider). I think that is the most used item in our nursery (aside form the crib of course). Don't go overboard with the changing table... for me, once the baby got a little older she just gets changed in whatever room we happen to be in.

I use the changing table a lot, but my son is only 3 months. I find the changing table to be sort of the "hub" of the nursery (and the house). I am typically a very disorganized person and the changing table is the one thing I keep up with. It makes me feel in control.

I also have a swing for my son. He really likes it.

swings are really great! It came in handy a lot when Alex was trying to just relax!

our swing has come in handy for my three youngest. they have all loved it and i am glad to have gotten so much use out of it!!!
