Hi everyone. I've got one child - a 1 year old boy (his birthday was just one week ago!)
Any suggestions on educational toys for a boy in his age group? |

When you say "educational toys," don't think for a minute you have to buy fancy battery-operated gismos to build junior's mind or body. YOU are the best toy he has!
Mind Games: Working on logic skills like predicting and problem-solving can be accomplished using a variety of small toys and two hand towels. Select two toys and cover each one with a towel. Ask your son to find them. Say the name of the toy and praise him for finding it. This game can go on forever, trust me!
Kitchen Koncert: Satisfy those large motor movements with safe and exciting experiences like playing with an aluminum pot and pan. Add a wooden spoon to the mix while you're cooking or cleaning up and you'll never wonder where he is; you'll hear him! |

| another fun 'around the house' toy is a milk carton and some clothespins. Show your baby how to put the clothespins in the milk carton, then let him try! |

| My kids enjoyed painting with water on the driveway and patio. It was magic when it disappeared! |

| We paint with water and draw with chalk on the walkways at school. The kids love it! |
