| I feel like a bad mommy. With my first child, it seemed like we were getting pictures done all the time. We would just go to Wal-Mart most of the time, but Sears for the yearly pictures. Since then, my attention to professional photos has totally vanished. We have not had a single professional photo done of my youngest, and only 1 of my 2 year old. Am I crazy to even be worried about it? how often do others get a photo taken? |

| I've heard that the bright lights used in studios can be damaging to baby's eyes. Is that true? |

| I have never heard anything about the bright lights!! That almost sounds like an urban legend...Kind of like "fan death" in South Korea. I guess it is worth looking into before I get my baby's pictures taken again!! |

| "Fan death" is a current urban legend in South Korea that says if you go to sleep at night with an electrical fan turned on and the door shut, you will die in your sleep. Some people believe you suffocate. There was actually a study done to prove it was not true, but people still believe it!! |

| I've heard of fan death. National Public Radio did a story on it the other day. They interviewed college students who believed you died because the fan caused a vaccuum in the room or somthign like that. |

| I like to take candid pictures of my girls. Digital camera make it so easy to get just the right shot. We have a great vegetable/flower garden at this house so we spend time out there and the natural light is awesome. |

I have a little garden myself. It's so quiet and relaxing to sit out there after a day at school. |

I enjoy professional photos, but they are so expensive.
I have been trying to really get into the digital camera. I was so used to 35 millimeter that I have to remember that I can take a ton of pictures and just delete whatever I don't want! I have been trying out different ways of setting up backdrops/finding pretty places and then posing the kids a little to make my own "professional" photos. |

Both my eldest children had professionals done as babies. I have a fairly good camera so I tried to get my own with the baby, I have some great ones, but Sorta would have still liked to have professionals.
I think we will start a tradition now of getting family portraits done close to christmas each year, use them as gifts, and track our growth as a family _________________ "Dance like nobody is watching, Sing like nobody is listening - and hope for their sake they aren't!!!!" |

| That's a great idea. We usually take a picture of all of the kids together in front of the tree and send it out with our Christmas cards, but every year I get at least one person saying that they wished my husband and I were in the picture! (I personally try to stay away from the other side of the camera!!) |

I`m freelance photographer, so I have no problem with taking pictures
But to be honest, I did it more when he was small, under a year old. After two years the child doesn`t change and grow so much any more and this excitement is gone. _________________ http://paikesejanku.etsy.com |
