I have heard of a lot of people saying that they don't need to tell their children that they love them because they already know. In some cases that could be true, but who doesn't like to hear that they are loved? Especially a young child or baby. Don't put a limit on how much you tell your child that you love them because there isn't one. My husband and I tell Alex ALL the time! Sometimes it is in the middle of a movie and we just look at him and tell him. We also do that with each other. I think it is an important phrase to say and isn't said often enough. I think it is also important that your children know that you are proud of them! It will help your baby to have a healthy self concept.

That is so important. It reminds me of the man who told his wife on their wedding day that he loved her and if anything changed, he would let her know. He never said "I love you" again.
