It is almost impossible to keep from getting a cold during the colder months, especially if you have a toddler, or even worse, a school child. You can help from passing the cold around by cleaning with disinfectant. Using Lysol on the doorknobs, things that get touched a lot. You want to be careful with this though because you don't want your baby to put to ingest it. The safest way that I use is just washing your (and your baby's) hands A LOT!!
