If you start introducing healthy food alternatives to your baby now, you are giving your baby the head start that they need. Rather than rewarding them with candy and other foods, reward your baby with an activity, taking him/her to the park, or if it is cold outside, then you could read an extra story that day. Having food as a reward could lead to eating disorders later on in life if its is done all the time.

Give your baby the benefit by giving them healthy snacks, have grapes instead of a sucker, or strawberries rather than a candy bar. In Alex's case he loves green peppers, so that is what we give him instead of the sugary snacks.
